CCTV News:During the "Eleventh" Golden Week this year, the national consumer market maintained steady and rapid growth. Traditional consumption such as food and clothing was upgraded, and emerging consumption highlights such as culture, tourism and sports were numerous. New models such as online and offline integration, smart stores, mobile payment and green sharing flourished. Quality, personalized and experiential consumption led the trend, and the consumption upgrading momentum did not decrease. According to the monitoring of the Ministry of Commerce, from October 1 to 7, the national retail and catering enterprises achieved sales of about 1.4 trillion yuan, and the average daily sales increased by 9.5% compared with last year’s "Eleventh" Golden Week.
I upgrading and upgrading of commodity consumption
During the Golden Week, organic food, fashion clothes, gold and silver jewelry, ultra-high-definition TVs, smart phones, smart household items, green home improvement materials, automobiles and other commodities sold well. The operating income of key monitoring catering enterprises in Shaanxi, Jiangsu and Hubei increased by 13.2%, 12.6% and 12.5% respectively, while Guangxi, Jilin and Sichuan increased by 11.2%, 10.2% and 9% respectively. The catering business of Beijing time-honored brands is booming, with the turnover rate of lunch turning over more than two times and dinner turning over more than three times, and the turnover of some enterprises has increased by more than 10%. There is a strong demand for wedding banquets in Nanchong, Sichuan, and the turnover of 10 key monitoring enterprises increased by 28% year-on-year. The business of specialty restaurants in Qingdao, Shandong Province is booming, with turnover increasing by more than 20% year-on-year.
Third, there are many bright spots in service consumption
Traveling, watching movies, watching performances, visiting museums and soaking in libraries have become the trend. Four days before the Golden Week, the country received 502 million domestic tourists, an increase of 8.8%. Domestic tourism revenue reached 416.9 billion yuan, up 8.1% year-on-year, and personalized, customized and high-quality tourism products were welcomed. In the first six days, the national box office reached 1.71 billion yuan, and a number of excellent domestic films were applauded and sold well. People have entered theaters, museums, science and technology museums and libraries to cultivate their sentiments, broaden their knowledge and broaden their horizons. The National Centre for the Performing Arts has presented 29 wonderful performances, and the China Tennis Open attracts tens of thousands of visitors every day. In the first four days, Chengdu Jinsha Ruins Museum has more than 47,000 visitors, and Tianjin Library has received more than 30,000 readers.

Six days before the Golden Week, the transaction volume of some e-commerce platforms increased by more than 20% year-on-year, and the order number of some online ordering platforms increased by more than 50% year-on-year. Many catering enterprises in Beijing expand their consumer groups through third-party take-out platforms, and interact with consumers by means of WeChat and mobile APP, which are welcomed by young people. The booking volume of shared B&B in some short rent platforms increased by 5 times year-on-year, and the sales volume of customized tours in some online travel platforms increased by more than 50%. With the increasing popularity of mobile payment, consumers can solve various needs such as food, housing, travel, shopping and entertainment with one mobile phone.
Five, the necessities of life are stable at full price.
The market of daily necessities in all parts of the country is abundant in supply and variety, and the prices are generally stable. In terms of varieties, grain prices remained stable, and the prices of rice and flour in 36 large and medium-sized cities were the same as those in the week before the festival. The price of edible oil fluctuated slightly, with soybean oil rising by 0.3%, rapeseed oil falling by 0.1% and peanut oil flat. Meat prices have gone up and down, with pork prices down by 0.1% and beef and mutton prices up by 0.6%. The price of poultry products fluctuated slightly, with the price of white striped chicken rising by 0.2% and the price of eggs falling by 0.3%.
