On February 25th, People’s Weekly, the supplement of People’s Spiritual Pedigree of the Communist Party of China (CPC), headed by People’s Daily, held its debut in the People’s Daily Library. Leaders and representatives from Yan ‘an Spiritual Research Association of China, China Post Group Co., Ltd., People’s Daily Publishing House, global person Magazine and other units attended the meeting. " The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China approved the first batch of great spirits incorporated into the spiritual pedigree of the Communist Party of China (CPC) people sorted out by the Central Propaganda Department, and released them on the occasion of the 72nd anniversary of the founding of People’s Republic of China (PRC).

　　In 2021, People’s Daily published the column "Struggle for a Hundred Years, Set Sail for a New Journey, the Communist Party of China (CPC) People’s Spiritual Pedigree", which fully displayed 49 kinds of the Communist Party of China (CPC) people’s spirits formed in the period of new democratic revolution, socialist revolution and construction, the new period of reform, opening up and socialist modernization, and the new era of Socialism with Chinese characteristics. Looking back on the historical background and formation process of these precious spirits, we deeply explored their rich connotation and value of the times, systematically demonstrated their practical significance and important role, and displayed their spirits.

　　Liu Huaxin, president of People’s Daily Publishing House and president of People’s Weekly magazine, delivered a speech at the launching ceremony. With the approval of People’s Daily, People’s Weekly included 196 series of comments and special-edition reports published by People’s Daily to explain each spirit, and published a supplement of the Communist Party of China (CPC) People’s Spiritual Pedigree as an important desk material to promote the normalization and long-term study and education of party history, and an essential tool book to improve political position and ideological and theoretical level.
