Entering Chongqing Jinqiao Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd., the production is in an orderly way. Thanks to the intelligent transformation, Jinqiao’s production efficiency increased by 33% and its cost decreased by 17%.

On March 5, General Secretary of the Supreme Leader stressed during the deliberation of the Jiangsu delegation at the First Session of the 14th National People’s Congress that "we should vigorously develop strategic emerging industries and accelerate the development of the digital economy." The "Government Work Report" proposes to "vigorously develop the digital economy".

As the first batch of experimental zones for digital economy innovation and development in China, Chongqing has thoroughly implemented the spirit of the important instructions of the Supreme Leader General Secretary, anchored intelligent manufacturing, promoted the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, expanded the scale of digital industries, cultivated strategic emerging industries, accelerated the construction of digital infrastructure, and accelerated the promotion of digital industrialization and industrial digitalization in all directions.

At present, the number of digital economy enterprises in Chongqing has exceeded 20,000, and the added value of digital economy accounts for about 40% of the regional GDP.

Anchoring intelligent manufacturing, digital transformation and upgrading of traditional industries

"In the past, the workshop was not so clean and efficient, and the materials were piled up next to the production line, like a workshop." Hu Qinghua, general manager of Jinqiao Company, said that the company’s information systems used to be "isolated islands" with high dependence on manpower and low production efficiency.

The change began with a matchmaking in the West (Chongqing) Science City. Schneider Intelligent Manufacturing Chongqing Innovation Center tailors intelligent manufacturing solutions for Jinqiao Manufacturing Company, and realizes real-time data collection, automatic production scheduling and real-time tracking of production process by combining digital systems. After completion, Jinqiao Manufacturing Company formed a lean layout of 16 lean production lines and 7 machining areas, and upgraded from a digital workshop to a smart factory.

From a traditional manufacturing town to a "smart manufacturing town", Chongqing has made great strides. In this year’s work report of Chongqing municipal government, the word "number" was mentioned 51 times. A large number of enterprises actively embrace the intelligence of big data, and their smart tentacles are getting deeper and deeper in every corner.

Small and medium-sized enterprises should accelerate digital transformation, and leading backbone enterprises should play a leading and exemplary role. Entering the automated "black light factory" of Celeste Group in Liangjiang New Area, more than 1,000 robots are running at high speed, and the mechanical arms cooperate in an orderly manner. Here, it takes only 5 seconds to punch a set of auto parts, and a new car can be rolled off the assembly line in 2 minutes.

The efficiency improvement benefits from the intelligent transformation of the production line. Celes "Black Light Factory" takes digitalization as an important driving force and combines new technologies such as artificial intelligence, Internet of Things and cloud computing to realize 100% automation of key programs. "There are fewer workers, but the quality is higher." Zhang Xinghai, chairman of Celeste Group, said.

Anchoring intelligent manufacturing, Chongqing has made great efforts to implement the special action of "looking back" for intelligent manufacturing diagnosis and evaluation, to promote the coordinated development of digitalization and greening, to enhance the digitalization level of industrial chain and to enhance the digitalization level of traditional industries. This year, Chongqing plans to build 10 smart factories and 100 digital workshops, so as to insert wisdom wings for more enterprises.

Production is more efficient and detection is smarter. Chongqing Jicheng Automobile Electronics Co., Ltd., located in Nan ‘an District, mainly produces automobile electronic parts, which requires high technology. In the past, in order to prevent product defects, the company mainly relied on manual inspection, which was not only inefficient, but also inaccurate.

Through digital transformation, especially the application of industrial Internet, Jicheng Automobile Electronics Company is smarter and more intelligent. Real-time tracking of equipment information, process parameters, optical detection and other information can be realized only by a two-dimensional code, which greatly improves the efficiency and accuracy of product quality inspection and accurately eliminates unqualified products.

Cultivate emerging industries and expand the scale of digital industry

On Mingyue Mountain, four 16-meter-diameter astronomical radars of the "China Compound Eye" project stand high and measure deep space. At the end of 2022, it successfully photographed the first three-dimensional lunar map of ground-based radar in China, expanding the boundaries of human deep space observation.

Dreaming of the "starry sky", Chongqing aims at the forefront of technology and actively lays out the satellite Internet industry. On March 18th, at the Mingyue Lake Digital Economy and Satellite Internet Innovation and Development Conference, Chongqing Digital Creation Park was officially unveiled, and the first batch of 50 enterprises signed contracts to settle down.

In recent years, Chongqing has actively promoted digital industrialization and expanded the scale of digital industry, striving to increase the added value of core industries of digital economy by more than 10% this year.

Forging a long board with one hand and mending a short board with the other. As an industrial city, Chongqing’s economic structure is "hard" and its software industry is relatively weak. In July, 2022, Chongqing launched the "All over the Sky Star" action plan for the software and information service industry, and pressed the "Acceleration Key" for the software industry.

Chongqing Liyituo Software Co., Ltd. mainly develops industrial simulation software. "The development of a car requires many real car crash tests, and the cost is very high. We can input various parameters into the computer to simulate the collision, which saves time and money." Li Bo, CEO of the company, said that the company has a good development momentum and won the "Industrial Software Innovation Award" in the first national industrial software innovation and application competition.

In Erlang Street, Jiulongpo District, Chongqing Digital Building has attracted 40 enterprises, including China Unicom (Chongqing) 5G Fusion Innovation Center, since it was put into use in August last year, and the effectiveness of digital intelligence carrier empowerment has begun to show.

In the West (Chongqing) Science City, Jinfeng Software Park has gathered a large number of software enterprises. By 2025, it is expected to gather 60,000 software employees.

In Yuzhong District, Chongqing Digital Economy Industrial Park gathers enterprises such as China Coal Design, Inspur and Fun Chain. In the first two months of this year, the software business revenue of the whole district increased by 31% year-on-year.

"We must not only turn data into industry, but also promote the deep integration of the digital economy and the real economy." The person in charge of the Chongqing Economic and Information Committee said that Chongqing has actively improved the entire industrial chain of "core screen end nuclear network", continuously improved the industrial energy level and improved the industrial chain.

In Shuitu New Town, Liangjiang New Area, the production line of Kangning Phase III environmental-friendly Al-Si toughened glass melting furnace is under construction, which is the first time that this product has been laid out in Chinese mainland.

From quartz sand, display panels to display terminals, Chongqing is completing the "puzzle" of the new display industry and further improving the electronic information industry chain.

Consolidate the digital base and speed up the construction of digital infrastructure

Accelerating digital industrialization and industrial digitalization cannot be separated from the support of digital infrastructure.

"Intelligent manufacturing generates a large amount of data, and enterprises must store these data in data centers, and our 5G network can effectively guarantee data transmission speed and security." Ai Qiang, deputy general manager of Chongqing Mobile Big Data Intelligent Center, said.

Chongqing Jin Kang New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd. is an example. After adopting the "5G+ Blu-ray Automatic Measurement System", with the help of China Mobile’s 5G private network deployed in the production site, the average amount of detection data transmitted per second is much faster than that of the 4G network, Jin Kang has built an industrial big data integration system, managed data efficiently and helped the digital transformation of the factory.

In recent years, Chongqing has accelerated the construction of digital infrastructure such as 5G, data center and Internet of Things, laying a solid foundation for the development of digital economy. In Shuitu New Town, China Mobile (Chongqing) Data Center and other ten data centers gather here, with the support capacity of 80,000 racks and 390,000 servers, becoming the cloud computing base with the highest concentration and the largest scale in the western region, and establishing more than 20 large-scale cloud platforms to support the development of various fields and serve more than 1,000 customers.

In Nan ‘an District, the construction of a number of digital infrastructures has been accelerated: the Supercomputing Center of JD.COM Exploration Research Institute has been completed and put into use, Shangtang Technology has laid out an artificial intelligence computing center with a peak computing power of 1,000 p, and Chongqing Data Lake Industrial Park plans to build about 2,200 data center cabinets to build a basic service platform such as optical and magnetic integrated storage platform, cloud platform and security platform & HELIP; …

As the first batch of demonstration cities for the construction and application of 5G scale networking in China, Chongqing’s 5G development has run out of "acceleration". At present, the city has opened 73,000 5G base stations, ranking first in the country, and the number of 5G base stations per 10,000 people ranks first in the west and sixth in the country.

In the process of intelligent manufacturing, the industrial internet is indispensable, and the logo analysis system is the "nerve center" to support interconnection. "The logo analysis system is like a transportation network, and the top nodes in the country are ‘ Transit hub ’ , the secondary node as ‘ Head ’ , connecting enterprise nodes. " The person in charge of the Chongqing Economic and Information Committee said that Chongqing is one of the five top-level nodes, and the top-level node identification analysis system has been applied to 19 industries.

In the next step, Chongqing will continue to promote the coordinated development of 5G and Gigabit networks, expand and upgrade the national Internet backbone direct connection points and the national "Spark Chain Network" blockchain super nodes, deepen the expansion of the application of China-Singapore international data channels, and actively participate in the "East Digital West Computing" project, which will help the upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain to coordinate development and digital transformation, promote the high-quality development of the digital economy, and strive to make the added value of the digital economy in the city account for more than 50% of the regional GDP by 2027.
